Project vehicle bought!

The vehicle has been selected, a 2012 Nissan Leaf (24kWh) 2012 Auto 5dr found on eBay The first challenge after the deal was done was getting the car from Birmingham, back to Mold, Wales, with a limited battery range, on a cold day to add into the mix. The job of Dave and Nathan the bravest of the team, going on the initial adventure. Having 2 out of 5 charging visits being successful.   The lads remarked that Electric Vehicles have a long way to go.  - Common plugs for charging. - more charging points - 1 or 2 apps They downloaded 4 different charging apps along the way. Initial EV learnings for the Nissan Leaf. 1. The Leaf is not a  long range EV especially in cold weather. 2. The range on the dash bears no relation to the charge percentage charge (the gauge takes into consideration the temp and environment etc) so you inevitably end up stopping to charge before you really need too. 3. The car is quite nippy in standard form.
